Custom Foot Orthotics
Orthotics are medical devices that, when inserted into a shoe, correct an abnormal or irregular walking pattern. Sometimes called arch supports, orthotics allow people to stand, walk and run more efficiently and comfortably. Foot orthotics are prescribed to fit an individual's unique foot structure, and when custom-made can normally correct a wide range of symptoms and conditions, from overpronation to chronic foot pain, shin splints and plantar fasciitis.
To get orthotics: book an appointment with a Chiropractor here at the ProActive Centre. Check with your insurance plan to see if they require a Doctor’s note. Bring your MD prescription (if required) in to your orthotics examination appointment. Average time to receive your orthotics is 3 weeks (dependent on time of year).
Fees for Custom Foot Orthotics:
1 pair of Custom Foot Orthotics — $400* Includes Examination appointment, Fitting appointment, 1 pair of Custom Foot Orthotics
2nd pair of Custom Foot Orthotics — $300* Ordered at the same time as the first pair.
*All orthotics are HST eligible products, unless you have a valid MD prescription on file here
Payment is due on your pick-up/fitting appointment date. You will receive a package eligible for your insurance that includes your Receipt of Payment, a Dispense Form indicating date of exam, casting and dispense, biomechanical assessment and exam findings, as well as Diagnosis. It will also include a Manufacturing Document outlining materials used and method of manufacture from Premiere Orthotic Lab.
