Malcolm grew up in the Niagara Region and obtained his Bachelors in Kinesiology from Brock University. As a student, he joined the Brock Barbell Powerlifting team as an athlete and later took on the role of Vice President and coach for the team. He also worked in various research labs focusing on adolescent exercise and strength training and is a published co-author on several research papers. Malcolm also became a member of the ProActive Health Team during his time at Brock, joining the front desk staff in his first year and staying in this role until he graduated. Malcolm continued his education at the University of Toronto and completed his Master of Science in Physical Therapy degree. Throughout his time at UofT, Malcolm worked in a variety of therapy settings, including inpatient rehab, outpatient orthopedics, and oncology.

Malcolm believes strongly that strength is for everyone and is passionate about helping his patients improve their health through movement. Given his research background, he aims to stay up to date on current studies in rehabilitation. He believes in giving his patients the tools they need to achieve their rehabilitation goals. Malcolm takes an individualized approach with care for his patients and utilizes a combination of an active approach and hands on care.

When he’s not in the clinic or at the gym, Malcolm can be found cruising the Niagara region on his road bike, or in a local coffee shop with an Americano in hand. Malcolm is excited to be back at ProActive Centre as a clinician and is looking forward to working with and treating the members of his community.
