Q & A with Trainer Alicia:

How did you first become interested in fitness?

I grew up playing many sports which led to fitness becoming a normal everyday activity. Although, my first interest in teaching fitness came from my experience working as a lifeguard. I became a certified Aquafit Instructor at the age of 19!

What is your favourite part about teaching fitness classes or training clients?

I love bringing people together for classes or training sessions to not only show them what they are capable of but help them set and achieve personal goals.

What is your favourite exercise?

Back squat

What is your 'go to' healthy snack?

Sliced apples with natural peanut butter

Who is your most common training client?

I mostly work with individuals who are new to the gym or have not worked out in a while. I also have a lot of experience working with seniors ages 80 and up who have extremely low mobility or dementia.

If you had to pick one song to motivate you during a workout, what would it be?

Bring Em Out by T.I
